Court says acknowledges AGD Diamonds owner bankrupt
MOSCOW, Nov 24 (PRIME) -- The Moscow Arbitration Court has acknowledged Otkritie Industrial Investments (OPI), an affiliate of holding Otkritie, that owns diamond mining company AGD Diamonds, bankrupt, according to the court documents seen by PRIME on Wednesday.
Oil major Lukoil sold Arkhangelskgeoldobycha to the affiliate of Otkritie Holding for U.S. $1.45 billion in 2017. The company was later renamed into AGD Diamonds.
The Moscow Arbitration Court charged Otkritie Industrial Investments with $873 million in favor of VTB in 2020 in the framework of a case on loan given in 2017 to purchase AGD Diamonds from Lukoil.
